Creamy Lemon Pepper Dressing

Creamy lemon pepper dressing is made with mayonnaise, fresh lemon juice, and lots of black pepper. Use it on green salads, add a spoonful to your favorite potato salad, or try it as a marinade for chicken or fish.
Servings 1 cup

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise plus more as needed.
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil optional

Instructions

  1. Whisk together mayonnaise and lemon juice until smooth. Add lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, dried basil, onion powder, and salt. Whisk to combine. If dressing is thin, add an additional tablespoon of mayonnaise. If the dressing is thick, add a tablespoon of olive oil.

  2. Transfer the dressing to the container and chill for 30 minutes. Use as desired.
  3. Store dressing in the refrigerator for up to four days. Stir or shake dressing before using.
