How to Make an Easy Apple Galette

All the flavor of an apple pie with less work.  Bonus: you only need 5 ingredients to make it! 

Apple Galette Ingredients

1. Pie Dough  Store bought is great! 2. Apples 3. Flour 4. Sugar 5. Cinnamon

Step One

Place pie dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet. This keeps the galette from sticking to the pan.

Step Two

Make the Filling. Combine three sliced apples with flour, sugar, and cinnamon.  The best apples for galettes are sweet and firm, like honey crisp.

Step Three

Place the apple filling on the dough. Leave about a 1-inch border—but don't stress about it.

Step Four

Fold the dough over the apples. Pleat it as you go. 

Baker's Tip: If the dough cracks, pinch it back together.

Step Five

Bake until the pie crust is golden brown and the apples are soft. This takes about 45 minutes.

Step Six
