Easy Baked Meatballs

Easy baked meatballs make for a quick weeknight meal. 30-minute recipe.

  • 1/3 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano


  1. Heat oven. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the meatballs. Combine breadcrumbs and milk in a large mixing bowl. Stir. Allow to sit for five minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Mix together until thoroughly combined with your hands or a wooden spoon.

    Roll into 1 1/2-inch meatballs, about 2 tablespoons each. Place onto prepared baking sheet.

  3. Bake. Bake until the meatballs are firm and 165 degrees F, about 15 minutes. Serve warm. Store cooled meatballs in the refrigerator for up to three days.
