    Puff Pastry Cream Cheese Danish

    Thanks to pre-made puff pastry, these cream cheese danish only take a few minutes to make. Simply mix together the filling. Spoon on the puff pastry. Brush the edges with a little whisked egg and bake. That’s it!

    Puff Pastry Danish

    You only need 4 ingredients to make these cream cheese Danish! Puff pastry, cream cheese, sugar, and an egg. The lemon juice and vanilla are tasty but optional.

    Prep Time 10 minutes
    Cook Time 18 minutes
    Total Time 28 minutes
    Servings 6 Danish

    Ingredients

    • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature (soft)
    • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
    • 1 egg yolk
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but cool

    For the Egg Wash

    • 1 large egg whisked

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 400℉.

    2. Mix softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth in a medium bowl. Stop the mixer. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl. Add the egg yolk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

    3. Unfold cool puff pastry sheet. Cut into 6 equal pieces. Place rectangles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    4. Spoon cream cheese filling onto the center of the puff pastry. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the whisked egg.
    5. Bake until the filling is set and the pastry is brown, about 18 minutes.
