Why You’ll Love This Easy Recipe for Cinnamon Honey Butter

    • Easy to make.
    • Just the right amount of sweetness and cinnamon.
    • Makes great cinnamon toast.
    • Perfect for holiday gifts.
Ingredients for cinnamon honey butter measured and placed on the counter.
    • Butter. I like to use salted butter for the best flavor. It helps balance the sweetness and enhances the flavor. If you only buy unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt. If you avoid dairy, make cinnamon honey butter with a butter replacement. For the best texture, use a solid butter replacement.
    • Honey. Adds a lovely sweetness and flavor.
    • Powdered Sugar. A little powdered sugar holds everything together. Without it, the butter and honey separate when stored.
    • Cinnamon. Always check the dates on your spices. Ground cinnamon loses flavor over time. You can also mix things up and use pumpkin pie spice in this butter.
    • Vanilla Extract (optional). A little vanilla extract deepens the flavor.

The Key to Making Great Cinnamon Honey Butter: Start with Soft Butter

Cinnamon honey butter mixed in a bowl.

To make the smoothest and lightest honey butter, start with softened butter. I usually leave my butter on the counter until it’s soft. You can also gently soften it in the microwave on a low setting.

Then mix all the ingredients until the butter is smooth and creamy. That’s it!

    Serving suggestions.

Cinnamon honey butter goes great with just about any bread, biscuit, or muffin. Spread it on toast for easy cinnamon toast. Or add a pat to an Instant Pot sweet potato.

    Storing Leftovers.

If you’ve got some leftover cinnamon butter, lucky you! Store the butter in a container in the refrigerator. It’ll keep for about two weeks.

You’ve Got Questions. I’ve got answers.

    Is this Texas Roadhouse Butter?

I’m not sure! I’ve never eaten at Texas Roadhouse. I learned how to make a flavored butter similar to this during culinary school. Over the years, I changed the recipe to suit my taste. When I shared the recipe on Tik Tok, many people told me it was similar to Texas Roadhouse. And some people told me it wasn’t like it at all. What I can tell you is that this butter is sweet with a nice cinnamon flavor.

    Is this cinnamon frosting?

It’s similar but the consistency isn’t right for frosting cakes or cookies. Frosting contains a lot more sugar.
