This is the perfect apple crisp. It’s easy to make and is loaded with a crisp oat-streusel topping and filled with cinnamon-spiced apples.
How to Make an Easy Apple Crisp
- Prepare the Topping. Oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon make for a crunchy topping. And to make it easy, stir in melted butter. No need to cut in cold butter!
- Prepare the Filling. A combination of tart and sweet apples makes for a flavorful filling. Use Granny Smith and Honeycrisp or any combination you love.
- Taste Before Baking. After adding the sugar to the filling, taste it. If the filling needs more sweetness, add additional brown sugar.
- Bake Until Bubbly. This apple crisp takes about an hour to bake. Look for the filling to be bubbling and the topping to be light brown.
- Serve Warm. Apple crisp tastes great warm. Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an added treat.
