You can make restaurant-style garlic bread in your air fryer in just minutes. The bread gets crispy on the outside and stays moist and tender in the center. But the best part is the garlicky, buttery topping.
I don’t need to tell you how awesome garlic bread tastes. It transforms a simple loaf of squishy supermarket bread into a garlicky delight.
What you might not know is that the air fryer makes it in just minutes. Since air fryers preheat so fast, you can make a batch quickly. From start to finish, it takes about 15 minutes. Which is how long my regular oven takes just to preheat!
I like to serve this alongside spaghetti with homemade pasta sauce and some air fryer meatballs. First, I make the sauce. Then I make the meatballs. When they’re done, I pop them into the sauce to simmer. I give my air fryer a quick clean and then I make the garlic bread. Easy-peasy!
Ingredients
Think of these ingredients as a starting point. Change up the recipe to make the garlic bread of your dreams.
- French bread. I like to use French or Italian bread with a soft crust. This is the style sold in most grocery stores versus the crustier bread sold at bakeries.
- Butter. Start with softened butter. It’s easier to spread on the bread.
- Garlic. Fresh minced garlic is my favorite. But jarred garlic and garlic powder work too!
- Parsley. If you’ve got fresh parsley in the kitchen, chop it up for this recipe. If not, dried works great.
- Parmesan cheese. I love garlic bread with a sprinkle of parmesan.
- Salt and Pepper. Season the butter with salt and pepper to taste. You can even add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little kick.
Cheesy Bread Variation
Love cheesy garlic bread? I got you! Sprinkle a good grated melting cheese, like mozzarella, provolone, or even Cheddar, over the bread right before baking.
Tips for Making the Restaurant-Style Garlic Bread in Your Air Fryer.
- Make the garlic butter. Stir the softened butter together with all the other ingredients.
- Coat the bread from side-to-side with the garlic butter. This way, there’s no dry crust on the edges!
- Cut your bread to fit the baking tray.
- Preheat the air fryer. Doing this gives you that wonderful crisp exterior and soft center.
Storing and Reheating Leftovers
If you’ve got some leftover garlic bread, don’t toss it.
Wrap the leftovers and store them at room temp for one to two days. Reheat the slices in the air fryer at 325℉ for a few minutes.
